David Tao-Wei Ke (柯道維) MD.
Director of the Department of Colorectal Surgery and President of the Long-living Intestinal Disease Alliance in Taiwan. Dr. Ke was also a former research fellow of cancer medicine at the American Society of Clinical Oncology

 

Colorectal Cancer is the most common type of cancer and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in Taiwan. The department of colorectal surgery is a high volume center and performs hundreds of colorectal operations per year, with 90% involving laparoscopic surgery. The department runs an OR dedicated to advanced minimally invasive surgery procedures, as well as enterostomy treatment rooms and anal function examination rooms. Students train using cutting edge equipment, and are integrated as part of the multi-disciplinary team of specialists in colorectal surgery, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, radiology and pathology.
